Shanty Concert in St. Mary’s Church Wivenhoe

Amor Céu at St Andrew’s Church, Marks Tey Wednesday 7th September 8-9pm Finnish group Amor Céu perform their program based around the female-voiced lyrical love poetry of the Cantigas de Amigo of Martin Codax.

Old Leigh Shanty Festival – cancelled due to the death of Queen Elizabeth II
Saturday-Sunday 10-11th September


A warm-up event leading up to the shanty festival. On Sunday 11th September, Felix Stowaways will be performing on the Ha’penny Pier over the lunch-time period from about 12:00 midday. It’s completely free to come and listen.
