Covid Secure

Like everybody else, EFA members have been badly affected by the pandemic, resulting in venues being closed and events cancelled. However, recently some venues and activities have re-started and if the situation eases then we can expect more events to take place.

Some intrepid members, such as the Wivenhoe Folk Club, have been taking their activities online. Wivenhoe have been running on Zoom (their Virtual Open Stage) for well over a year now.

However, as venues have tentatively re-opened, sometimes they have shut down again very quickly, as happened just before Christmas because of the Covid surge. So, if you are thinking of attending an event, we advise you to contact the organisers shortly beforehand to see whether it is still taking place as planned.

Please remember to take appropriate precautions and perhaps take a lateral flow test before you attend an event.
